NISM is likely to start electronic continuous professional examinations (eCPE) from the first week of February.

Most likely, NISM would commence eCPE from February 1, said a source familiar with the development. This will help many MFDs especially residing in B30 location.

Every three years, distributors have to undergo a mandatory six hours of training to renew their ARN.

Earlier this month, NISM announced that it has temporarily suspended eCPE training due to technical glitch on its digital platform. It said, “Candidates may enroll for classroom CPE programs for future dates as NISM is not accepting any new enrolments for eCPE (continuing professional education in e-format) due to technical issue on NISM’S eCPE website (estore.nism.ac.in). We are working on it and we will update you once the issue is resolved. We highly regret the inconvenience caused.”

With eCPE, MFDs can complete training through video lessons and quizzes from the comfort of their home and office in three and a half hours. MFDs will have to enroll at least 15 days prior to get desired the date and timeslot. You can call NISM helpdesk at 8080806476 or write to NISM at certification@nism.ac.in for more details and enquiry.

It is advisable for MFDs with expiring ARN to appear for CPE physically to avoid forfeiture of trail commission.
