Jinesh Gopani moves on, Axis MF elevates Shreyash Devalkar as Equity Head

Jinesh Gopani, Head- Equity at Axis Mutual Fund has quit the fund house. With this, Axis MF has announced Shreyash Devalkar as the new Equity Head with effect from August 4, 2023.

Shreyash has been associated with Axis MF for seven years and manages funds like Axis Bluechip Fund, Axis Midcap Fund, Axis Small Cap Fund and Axis Flexi Cap Fund. Before joining the fund house, he was a part of the fund management team at BNP Paribas MF and IDFC MF (now Bandhan MF). Overall, he has an experience of over two decades in the financial services industry.

In another appointment, the fund house has roped in Shatadru Chakraborty, a Citibank veteran as the Chief Risk Officer.

Sharing his views, B. Gopkumar, MD & CEO, Axis MF said in a press release, “We are optimistic that with the bolstering of our leadership team, Axis Mutual Fund will continue to deliver on its promise of building trust and generating value for our investors.”
