    SEBI Chief Madhabi Puri Buch shared SEBI’s vision for the transformation of Indian capital markets. This includes use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) for listing of IPOs, development of a performance validation agency using the latest technology and accelerating intermediary registrations.

    Madhabi was speaking at the 21st Annual Capital Markets Conference organized by Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI) held at Mumbai.

    SEBI Whole Time Member Ananth Narayanan also shared insights on the equity market during the conference. He said that the stock prices of 30% midcap and small cap stocks have tripled in the last 3 years.

    Narayan expressed joy at the growth in retail participation in the equity markets in the recent years. He shared how increased participation by various stakeholders can help to introduce better precautionary measures to avoid a possible black swan event in the Indian markets.
