Hrishikesh Parandekar, CEO & Group Head, Broking, Wealth Management, & Asset Management of Karvy has stepped down from his position in September.

He left Karvy to start his own fund raising venture. “I am leaving to dedicate my efforts to building an entrepreneurial platform across a few different sectors, which will quite likely include money management using a combination of asset management and NBFC platforms,” said Hrishikesh.

He also played an important role in revamping the capital markets agency and broking business of Karvy.

“After a fascinating journey of more than five years with Karvy, I have decided to move on from the company. I have learnt a great deal, made some mistakes, and made a lot of new friends! But now my aspirations beckon to try and realize the broader promise that India holds,” he added.

Prior to joining Karvy, he was the Managing Director of Morgan Stanley, New York. Before joining Morgan Stanley, he was a Senior Consultant with McKinsey. He has worked for nearly 17 years in the area of private wealth management and strategy consulting across USA, India, as well as Latin America.

Hrishi earned his MBA from the Indian Institute of Management in Ahmedabad, where he was awarded the President’s Gold Medal for graduating ranked number one in his class. He has a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Accounting from the University of Bombay.
