    Which fund houses are the leaders in B30 locations?

    The total B30 AUM of the industry has reached Rs. 12.17 lakh crore.

    SBI MF, HDFC MF and ICICI Pru MF have the highest AUM from the B30 locations in March 2025, shows an analysis done by Cafemutual.

    SBI MF is the leader with assets of Rs. 2.45 lakh crore in the B30 locations, making up about 23% of its overall AUM.

    HDFC MF has recorded the second highest B30 assets of Rs. 1.45 lakh crore, constituting 19% of its total AUM. 

    ICICI Pru MF occupies the third spot in the B30 ranking with assets of Rs. 1.39 lakh crore. The fund house derives 16% of the fund house’s overall AUM from B30 cities. 

    Nippon India MF and UTI MF are the next two with B30 assets of Rs. 1.11 lakh crore and Rs. 67,000 crore, respectively. These fund houses derive 20% each of their total assets from B30 cities.

    Other fund houses with healthy AUM in the B30 locations include Aditya Birla Sun Life MF, Axis MF, Kotak MF, Tata MF and Mirae Asset MF.

    In terms of percentage of B30 assets to the total AUM , Groww MF has the highest share of its AUM from B30 locations at 33%. 

    Quant MF has the second highest share of its AUM from B30 cities at 31% while Zerodha MF occupies the third spot with 28% of its assets coming from B30 cities. 

    Samco MF and Union MF also have 28% and 27% of their overall assets coming from the B30 cities. 

    Overall, the B30 cities contribute Rs. 12.17 lakh crore to the MF industry AUM, constituting about 18% of the total industry assets.

    B30 AUM growth in FY25

    Over the last one year, SBI MF has recorded the highest absolute growth in its B30 assets of about Rs. 43,500 crore. ICICI Pru MF has the second highest B30 assets growth of Rs. 26,400 crore. 

    HDFC MF occupies the third spot in terms of absolute B30 asset growth with an increase of Rs. 26,300 crore in FY25. 

    Nippon India MF and Motilal Oswal MF have also recorded impressive B30 AUM growth of Rs. 25,200 crore and Rs. 12,900 crore, respectively. 

    Other fund houses with healthy B30 asset growth include Kotak MF, PPFAS MF, Quant MF, Axis MF and Tata MF.

    In terms of growth in percentage terms, Zerodha MF has recorded the highest B30 asset growth of 1621%. Old Bridge MF is the second with B30 AUM growth of 573% while Trust MF is the third at 477% growth. Helios MF and JM Financial MF have also recorded impressive growth of 302% and 263% in their B30 AUM.

    Overall, the B30 AUM of the industry has increased from Rs. 9.83 lakh crore to Rs. 12.17 lakh crore, a growth of 24%.
