ICICI Prudential AMC arranged a cricket tournament for IFAs in Chennai
ICICI Prudential AMC arranged a cricket match - ‘Cricket Fever 2011’ in Chennai in which 140 IFAs participated enthusiastically. The AMC took up this initiative to engage the IFAs in a fun activity rather than a work related activity.
By all accounts, the IFAs seemed to have had a lot of fun during this event. “We had a lot of fun during this event and we even got a chance to meet many new IFAs who have just entered the industry after completing their MBA,”said Ramesh Bhat of Aniram, one of the participants of the event.
The match was played by 10 teams comprising 13 members in each team. There were eight teams from Chennai and two teams participated from Vellore and Pondicherry. The AMC spent around Rs 4.5 lakh in this event and all the teams were named after the different funds of ICICI Prudential AMC.
Besides the cricket match there were other activities like chess, carrom, tattoo, face-painting and caricature arranged for the spectators as well as the participants.
“All the participants came with their family to the event and actively participated in different games and activities,” said Mr. M.K. Balaji, Manager - IFA, ICICI Prudential Asset Management Ltd.
The final match was played between Team Dynamic and Team Infrastructure and Team Dynamic won the match by one run. “Tension was built-up during the last ten minutes of the game when we had to chase 41 runs but we managed to win by one run,” said Mr. R Arun Kumar of Credo Capital.
Chennai based Dinesh bagged the Man of the Series award while the Best Bowler was awarded to Arun. Kannan from Pondicherry won the Best Batsman award.
