The group christened as CIFFA will be affiliated to IFA Galaxy Group of Chennai
Mumbai: Cochin IFA Association (CIFFA) was floated today with a 10 core member committee.
“We are happy to announce the core committee to take this initiative forward and to bring the entire IFA fraternity in Kerala under a common platform,” said Binoj K. G, a core member of CIFFA.
“We encourage each and every city to create a local association and get everyone united for their progress,” says Ramesh Bhat, President of IFA Galaxy Group.
The unprecedented regulatory challenges have led many IFAs to congregate and form groups. Maharashtra, Gujarat and Delhi already have associations of IFAs and CFPs. These groups share ideas, impart training, conduct seminars/workshops and take up issues with AMFI.
H N Sinor in an earlier interview with Cafemutual had asked distributors to get united under a formal association. He had also suggested that a national association can put forward their concerns to AMFI on a quarterly basis, which can then be taken up with SEBI.
The core committee members of CIFFA group are Ajithkumar S., Jagadeesh R. Pai, Binoj K. G., Lancy Willie, Muraleedhara Kamath, Ramesh A., John Mukkadan, George P.M., Shankar Kamath and Santhosh Iyer.
The top 16 cities of Kerala have 274 registered ARN holders with AMFI. Cochin has the highest number of distributors (53) followed by Thekkady (31), Thrissur (28), and Malappuram (25).
