    Prashant Jain tops Financial Express ranking of India’s equity fund managers

    Financial Express ranks fund managers based on the risk adjusted returns for their schemes

    Prashant JainAccording to a study done by Financial Express, Prashant Jain (HDFC MF) heads the league of India’s best fund managers followed by Apoorva Shah (DSP Black Rock), Sandeep Kothari (Fidelity), Kenneth Andrade (IDFC), Sailesh Raj Bhan (Reliance) and Chirag Setalvad (HDFC).

    These fund managers manage close to Rs 40,000 crore of equity assets which is 23 per cent of overall equity assets in the country.  While shortlisting and ranking the fund managers, it shortlisted those who have stayed with an AMC at least for five years and have managed at least two schemes with reasonable size (more than Rs 1,000 crore).
