    Ritesh Jain joins BNP Paribas MF

    Anand Shah will continue to head investment team at the fund house.

    BNP Paribas Mutual Fund has announced the appointment of Ritesh Jain as its Chief Investment Officer (CIO) with immediate effect.

    Ritesh Jain will report to Anand Shah, Deputy CEO and Head of Investments and will be responsible for leading a team of investment professionals managing a wide range of funds across different asset classes.

    Prior to this, Ritesh had served as the CIO of Tata Mutual Fund. He had worked with Canara Robeco Mutual Fund for five years and was heading fixed income portfolio at Kotak Mutual Fund for six years. He has also worked in different capacities with organizations like IDBI Bank and Corporation Bank. He has spent the over 14 years of his career in fund management.

    Jain holds a Masters in Business Economics from Indore University and a diploma in capital markets from ICFAI. He has also attended classes at the New Austrian School of Economics, Germany.

    Ritesh is well known for his columns in leading business newspapers. One of his popular columns is ‘What I read this week’ in ETonline.

    During his sabbatical, he started a blogpost called ‘World out of Whack’ to share his views on issues related to economics and finance.

    BNP Paribas Mutual Fund manages close to Rs. 6,000 crore as on March 2017.
